Appreciation ZOOT WINS E-COMMERCE AWARDS 2016
At the 3rd annual E-Commerce Awards 2016 the largest fashion online store ZOOT.cz was honoured for being the most innovative and most original Czech e-commerce player in 2016. Next year, ZOOT will represent the Czech Republic at the Global E-commerce Summit in Barcelona.
On accepting the trophy ZOOT’s co-owner, Ladislav Trpák, said, “For the past four years we‘ve worked hard on bringing our customers the best possible service in the most user-friendly form. We are delighted that our more personal approach to online shopping and our style of communication have proved to be successful and that our efforts have now also gained recognition among an expert jury. We are very honoured to have been given this prestigious award”.
For the third year running, the winner of the award was selected by an expert jury at the Business Forum conference. The jury was made up of the executive director of the Association for E-commerce (APEK), and the association’s members. “When assessing each individual company we mainly focused on its ability to be innovative and original in terms of e-commerce. ZOOT represents the dynamically growing segment of online fashion retail and, at the same time, it brings new ideas and solutions to the market. We believe that on a European scale ZOOT is a unique company and so, it will be a great representative of the Czech Republic at the 8th annual European E-commerce Awards” reviewed Jan Vetyška, the executive director of APEK.
After four years of existence, ZOOT now has almost 500 employees. The unique omnichannel concept combines online shopping with the benefits of an in-store experience. Customers can try on items at its Try& Buy stores. Over this period of time it has expanded to the Slovak and Romanian market. “We currently have a total of 33 Try & Buy stores; 17 in the Czech Republic, 7 in Slovakia and 9 in Romania. This year we plan to open another 6-7 Try & Buy stores”, added Ladislav Trpák.
ZOOT reached record sales of 450 million CZK in 2015. Its turnover rate has more than doubled when compared to the previous year. The largest Czech player in internet fashion sold around 180 million CZK in 2014.
