As a result in 2016 we were appraised by Inc Magazine as one of the fastest growing European companies: first in the Czech Republic in retail industry and 39th in CEE across all industries.


ZOOT was founded by Josef Havelka and Ladislav Trpák, both successful marketing entrepreneurs in 2010. We started as a on-demand platform connecting brands and their fans. Later we established our own content team that was searching for the best offers and offered users personalized deals real-time.

In spite of clear trend-interest in fashion, conversion rates were very low. Therefore, we started to present goods under ZOOT brand and not by the brands themselves. The reception by the users was positive and conversion rates increased more than 20 times.

At that time ZOOT also tried the shopping club concept but the concept did not prove itself. We learned that there is nothing more important than not to disappoint your customer. Therefore we decided to offer only items that were available and leave the shopping club concept behind.


With buying team and own stock we were all fashionable. But to be wowed customers needed more. So we started testing again. In 2012, the omnichannel concept emerged: merge of online and offline world. First Try&Buy store opened and since then ZOOT’s business boosted.


In 2015 we launched operations in Romania and Slovakia. And more are to come.
